A treadmill is an exercise machine for running or walking while staying in one place. They are built on the basic premise that the more effort you put in, the best result you will get. Working on treadmill is very easy and you need not to go to outdoor for exercise as it is an indoor machine. The machine provides a moving platform with a wide conveyor belt and an electric motor or a flywheel. The belt moves to the rear allowing a person to walk or run an equal, and necessarily opposite, velocity. The rate at which the belt moves is the rate of walking or running. Thus, the speed of running may be controlled and measured.

Treadmills are a great way to get cardiovascular exercise, especially if you want to run within the convenience of your own home. To lose your weight or fat and to get great results you have to follow a regular routine to workout on treadmill. Exercising on treadmill is easy and the more time you workout the more calories you lose and the more weight you reduce. A treadmill will work and provide you better results only when you will spend more time on it and follow a routine.
